---------------------------------------------------------------- ■Visiting Schedule: 31, Oct. (Mon) ~ 4, Nov. (Fri) : - extended office hour -part1- 7, Nov. (Mon) ~ 9, Nov. (Wed) : Lecture 1 ~Solar Interior (1),(2),(3)~ 14, Nov. (Mon) ~ 15, Nov. (Tue) : Lecture 2 ~Solar Surface (1),(2)~ 16, Nov. (Wed) ~ 18, Nov. (Fri) : - extended office hour -part2- 21, Nov. (Mon) : Lecture 2 ~ Solar Surface (3) ~ 24, Nov. (Thu) : mini-workshop 28, Nov. (Mon) ~ 30, Nov. (Thu) : - extended office hour -part3- ■講義予定&Abstract: ■Lecture 1 ~ Basics of Solar Interior Physics and Dynamo ~ (Reference: Heliophysics,chap.3, Cambridge Univ. Press.2009) 7,Nov. ①10:30AM~, ②1:30PM~ 8,Nov. ①10:30AM~, ②1:30PM~ 9,Nov. ①10:30AM~, ②1:30PM~ Abstract of Lecture 1 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In the first half of this lecture will present a general introduction to dynamo theory, which will be based on a summer school lecture for graduate students. This introduction will cover the basic properties and definition of large scale dynamos and will introduce mean field theory. In the second half I will focus on dynamics of the solar interior and cover solar differential including the cycle variation known as torsional oscillations. After discussing the role of the meridional flow in the angular momentum transport balance I will give an overview of solar dynamo models. Since we do not have an generally accepted dynamo model at this point, I will present the different dynamo scenarios considered to date and discuss the limitations of the various modeling approaches that are in use. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ■Lecture 2 ~ Solar Surface Physics ~ 14,Nov. ①10:30AM~, ②1:30PM~ 15,Nov. ①10:30AM~, ②1:30PM~ 21,Nov. ①10:30AM~, ②1:30PM~ Abstract of Lecture 2 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In this lecture I will first summarize the physics that govern photospheric MHD and briefly discuss the numerical treatment of the resulting equations. After discussing in particular the numerical challenges of sunspot simulations, I will focus on the origin of penumbral fine structure and Evershed flow in simulated sunspots. Toward the end of this lecture I will focus on larger scales up to the scale of active regions. Here I will focus on the subsurface magnetic field and flow structure of sunspots and implications for helioseismic studies. On the scale of active regions I will present most recent flux emergence simulations showing sunspot formation and decay.
